SECRETARY'S REPORT
We have successfully stepped into 3rd year and accomplished important tasks directed towards bunts Sangha goals and objectives.
- As regards membership fund, we have collected Rs. 11,800 and we have added one member as patron.
- As regards fund raising through Annual Souvenir, we have collected Rs. 4,59,750/-, which include Advt. Receipts, sale of souvenirs and sale of addressograph.
- We are pleased to mention that the “ Bunts Sangha” proposed land at Sr.No. 104, Hissa No-1. at baner along side of Pune Mumbai highway, near Sadanand resorts, Pune has been officially acquired, purchased and registered and got all the documents .Our president invited Mr. Satbhai, Architect to our managing Committee meeting on 13th July 2008.
- He had given detailed version of the planning of purchased land the plot admeasuring 31,250 sq.ft, out of which bunts Sangha is left with 28,000/- sq.ft. He has also given the estimation of cost involved in case of constructing this “ vastu” as per the requirements of Bunts Sangha.
We are pleased to mention that miss Pavitra daughter of Mr. Nityanand Shetty passed her 12th standard securing No.-1 rank in the Pune division with 95.67% and added it up with flying colors securing 199 out of 200 in C.E.T. Exam. At present she is studying in college of Engg. Pune. Bunts Sangha had felicitated her by paying Rs. Twenty Five Thousand and managing committee members contributed Rs. 75,000/-, thus totaling Rs. One Lacs.
Bunts Sangha committee members were magnanimous in donating Rs. 22,200/- which was 50% of the school fees to daughter of Mr. Shankar Shetty for her college education.
We are also receiving applications for our “ Matrimonial Shubhamangala” site, chairperson for ladies wing Mrs. Indira Shetty has been whole heartedly persuing the matter with utmost sincerity and she has been successful in one or two positive results. It is indeed a fabulous effort for a starting.
We had organized picnic to “ Manali Resorts” on 9th December 2007, with bus arrangement; Annual sports meet on 23rd Dec. at B.M.C.C. College, Badminton Tournament and cricket tournament at Poona Club. The response to all these programmes have been excellent. The organisors and sponsores deresve special thanks for the same.
Our annual gathering was held on 26th Jan. 2008. It was a tremendous success with variety of dances, skits and dramas organized by ladies wing, methodically planned formal functions, elegant stage decorations, houseful responsive audience & dignitaries, felicitations, awards & rewards. Added to these programmes were presentation of Best social worker award to our guest of honor Shri Santoor Bhaskar Shetty & inspiring speech by our Chief guest Shri Dayashankar Shetty. Very heartening to mention that this year Mr. Jagannath B. Shetty had presented four gold medals to the bunts boys who have married without dowry. The annual function culminated with sumptuous dinner for all the delegates.
Last but not least, the next annual gathering will be at “ Ganesh Kala Mandir,” Situated next to Nehru Stadium at Swargate with a seating capacity not less than 2500 persons and with plenty of parking space.
