Born in Kundapur, College Education at Mangalore, Goverdhan Shetty did his Chartered Accountancy at Bombay with the reputed British Firm known as Ford, Rhodes & Parks.
He joined Buckau Wolf (now known as Thyssen Krupp) a multinational industrial organization in 1958 at Pimpiri and rose to one of the top positions in short time. He left employment in 1976 at start his own industry and business. Now he runs his owns business and he is also Investment Counsellor. He was a District Governor of Lions International in 1986-87. He was Founder President of Bunts Sangha, Pune.
His wife Chandrakala Shetty was also District Governor of Lions International in 1994-95.

 Shri. Jagannath B. Shetty is a pioneer in the business of restaurants in Pune. He has established the immensely popular trinity Vaishali, Roopali and Amrapali. He came to Pune 58 years ago to join his maternal uncle Late Shridhar Shetty in his hotel business.
He has several awards to his credit. He was awarded ‘The Gunduraj Shetty gold medal for the best social worker’ for his selfless contribution to the society. The Entrepreneurs International Conferred ‘Quality Award ’ to his restaurant Vaishali, on 29th July 2003.Tridal Pune Felicitated him with Pune’s most prestigious award “ Punya Bhushan Puraskar’ in the year 2000. Recently The Times Group has declared VAISHALI as the Best South Indian Restaurant. Chimanlal Govinddas Memorial Trust has also awarded him with “Udyam Gaurav Purskar”.
Dowry is a social evil prevailing in our community. J. B. Shetty instituted gold medals to newly married outstanding couple i.e. those who marry without accepting ‘Dowry’. He has also helped many parents to get their daughters married.
Though he has settled down in Pune, he has not forgotten his native place. he has generously given donations to his old school for development, and build the village Ganapathi Temple.
Jagannath Shetty is an ardent golfer and has Captained Poona golf club in the year 1997-98. He has won several awards too. He has started an annual “Vaishali Cup” for amateurs.
He has traveled widely all over the world .in all his social activities he had the fullest co-operation of his better half late Smt. Shakuntala Shetty. They have a daughter Kum. Nikita.

 Shri Narayana Shetty who was elected President of Pune Buntara Sangha in 1993 was born on 15/06/1938 at Shivapura village Karkala Taluka.
He is one of the topmost Hoteliers in Pune by owning Hotels like “Priya, Supriya, Chalukya and Maurya Residency”. HE is one of the active members of “Kannada Sangha” and he was also in “Giants Club”. In 1975 “Buntara Sangha” at Pune was established. Since then in one or the other way was “Narayananna” shouldering the responsibilities of the Samithi by devoting himself heartily, mentally & financially by working day and night effectively with all efforts for the growth of the Sangha. During 1993 the Buntara Sangha of Pune considered him as one of the Best Social Workers and awarded him a meritorious Gold Medal and felicitated for his dedicated resultoriented services. He Follows the slogan of “Work is Worship”. His charming beloved wife, Smt Sarojini Shetty, who is always cheerful and has supported Mr Narayana Shetty in all his bad and good days and cooperated in all his activities with a smile.

 Mr. Sadananda Shetty our Past President is a B.Com., F.C.A. He is a renowned Chartered Accountant from Pune who also looks after his family business of Hotels in Pune. He has rich experience of teaching, as he was a professor at Poona College, St. Vincent College and St. Mira’s College. He is associated with quite a few companies as a Director.
He was elected as District Governor of Lions Clubs International, District 323 D for 1991-92. He has also served multiple as Lions Clubs International as Multiple District Treasurer in the year 1991-92.
He is equally associated with other social organizations. He also serves as a Managing Trustee, Trustee in few charitable service organizations.

 Mr. Seetharam Shetty, popularly known as “Coffee House Seetharamanna” in Pune is one of the most active dignitaries of Bunts community.  Mr. Jayant Shetty hails from Hejamadi Patel house, a reputed family in Dakshina Kannada District. Recently he has opened a 4 Star Hotel called Le- ROYCE, a designer hotel situated adjacent to Sun-n- Sand at Dhole Patil Road.
Mr Hegde is a recipient of “Best exporter Award” from Government of Maharastra. He is happily married to Mrs Shashi B Hegde, and they are blessed with two sons.
